JACK CLEVENGER
Jack loved to spend his time outdoors, especially fishing. He was of the Pentecostal Faith all of his life, which led him to establish a Pentecostal Church in Buena Vista. He was a faithful employee until retirement as a captain of the Virginia State Department of Corrections.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Lillian Clevenger; brother, Sherman “Peanut” Clevenger; sisters, Nancy Clevenger and Diana Clevenger; and stepson, Karl Kyle.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Clevenger; children, Jeff Clevenger, Drace (Suzanna) Clevenger, Stephanie (Jeff) Clevenger Shafer and Helen Williams; grandchildren, Mirabella Clevenger, Lillian Clevenger, Lydia Shafer, Naomi Shafer, Christal (Rodney) Williams Frazier, Cynthia (Landon) Jenkins and Cassidy Williams; great-grandchildren, Karlia Williams, Rilan Frazier, Jaxen Frazier, Christian Williams, Cyra Crutcher, Brooke Crutcher, Cahlie Crutcher, Lylah Jenkins, George Jenkins and Cimbrie Aranda; and sister-in-law, Carol Clevenger.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Irish Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church, P.O. Box 33, Fairfield, VA 24435. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
