She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Phyllis Smith McDaniel; brothers Kenneth Wayne “Bud” Smith and Henry Joseph “Junie” Smith Jr.; her husband of 60 years, William Madison Hall Jr.; and greatgranddaughter Alyson Paige Morris.

She is survived by her daughter, Billie Jean Hall of Kents Store, and son James David Hall of Monroe. Additionally, she is survived by her grandchildren, Robert Harrison Hall and wife Crystal of Buena Vista, Robin Hall Morris and husband Brian of Buena Vista, and Joshua David Hall of Buena Vista; great-grandchildren Ryan Patrick Morris and wife Erica of Glasgow, Rachel Rae Blankenship of Buena Vista and William Luke Morris of Buena Vista; and great-great-grandson Lincoln Tyler Morris of Glasgow.

Betty graduated from Buchanan High School and served as clerk of the circuit court for the city of Buena Vista for many years. She had a great love for the city and people of Buena Vista. She loved her family deeply, and her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren were especially precious to her. Betty loved to play golf, participate in bowling leagues, and play bingo. She was a faithful member of Buena Vista Presbyterian Church, serving on the board of trustees for many years. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her family and the community.

Funeral services will be conducted at Bolling, Grose, and Lotts Funeral Chapel on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends today, Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bolling Grose, and Lotts Funeral Home.
