Lerty Edward Humphries, 82, of Staunton died Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, at his home.  Born on Aug. 4, 1942, he was a son of the late Ruby Spitzer Humphries and Raymond Edward Humphries.

He attended Lexington Baptist Church. Lerty also loved being around his cherished horses and cats.

Surviving are children Scott (Kim) and Rita; loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank so many loving and caring neighbors especially Mike, David, Chuck, Angela and Kim.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024, at the funeral home.
