Herbert Arnold Rhodenizer Sr., 86, of Lexington died Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at his home. 

Born on Oct. 1, 1937, he was a son of Lawrence John Rhodenizer and Mabel Robinson Rhodenizer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mary Frances "Fanny" Hall Rhodenizer; son, Herbert A. Rhodenizer Jr.; siblings, Elizabeth Davis, John William Rhodenhizer, Mary Anna Davis, Lawrence Rhodenhizer, Albert Rhodenizer, Harry Rhodenizer, Virginia Black, Edna Turner, Clinton Rhodenizer, Clifford Rhodenizer and infant brother Henry Rhodenizer.

He was a member of Oxford Presbyterian Church and retired from Columbia Gas System after 31 years.

Surviving are his daughter, Stephanie Rhodenizer Black and husband Bobby; granddaughter, Sydney Faith Black; and brother, Robert "Moot" Rhodenizer Sr.

A graveside service will be conducted at OxfordPresbyterian Cemetery by the Rev. Kyle Segars.
