In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Coralie Graves Duncan; A brother, Thomas A. Duncan; and granddaughter Briley Sensabaugh.

He Is survived by daughters Rebecca Duncan Leitch and Sherry Duncan Miller (Ronnie); grandchildren Sara Conner Sensabaugh, Jeff Duncan Conner (Kylee), Reba Miller and Payton Miller; great-grandchildren, Icelynn Rae Sensabaugh and J.D. Conner Jr.; close friends Larry Wethington and Sonny Fitzgerald; and sisters-in-law, Geri Graves and Laura Graves.

John was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank caregivers Leigh Martin and Brittany Carter.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4, at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Randy Clark.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rockbridge Animal Alliance (RAA) P.O. Box 405, Lexington, VA24450 where he was a retired member.
