MICHAEL BULLOCK

Michael Steven Bullock, age 74 of Wilkesboro, N.C., passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at the First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro with Dr. Bert Young officiating. The casket will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will be in Scenic Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Michael was born Aug. 19, 1950, in Franklin, Ind., to Bishop Beryl and Helen Judith Harrison Bullock.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro. Michael was a graduate of Natural Bridge High School in National Bridge Station and a graduate of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. He retired from Johnston Casuals as plant manager.

He loved to cook at the First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro and enjoyed time with his family and friends. He volunteered for many organizations in Wilkes including North Wilkesboro Rotary Club, St. Paul’s Crisis Ministry and H.O.P.E. Ministries. He loved the Lord.

He was preceded in death by father, Bishop Beryl Bullock, and a sister-in-law, Nancy Bullock.

He is survived by his wife, Dianna Clement Bullock of the home; his mother, Helen Harrison Bullock of Milton, N.C.; a daughter, Andrea Wilcox and husband Richard of North Wilkesboro; a son, Steven Bullock and wife Katie of Ferguson; six grandchildren, Olivia Wilcox (Jacob), Zeb Wilcox, Izabella Bullock, Tabitha Shumate (Chad), Brittany Brown (Kenny), and Daja Smith; four great-grandchildren, Haili Shumate, Chloe Sebastian, Trenton Sebastian, Aiden Brown and two on the way - Emersyn Marie and Lainey Jane Bell; five brothers, Bishop “BB” Bullock and wife Lynn of Camden, S.C., Bill Bullock of Lake Gaston, N.C., Donald Bullock and wife Barbara of Lexington, Pat Bullock and wife Teri of Milton, N.C., and Ronnie Bullock of Texas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
