He is survived by his three sons, Freddie Lewis Tomlin II (FT), Jeffery Lee Tomlin, and Darrell Waltrip Lipscomb, their wives, and his grandchildren.

Freddie was instrumental in establishing the transportation system for Buena Vista City Public Schools, where he proudly served as director for 42 years. His commitment to the community and its youth will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Bolling, Grose, and Lotts Funeral Home Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will also be held at Bolling, Grose, and Lotts Funeral Home at 11a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, followed by interment at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. Friends and family gathering will be determined after services.

Freddie’s impact on the community and his family will endure in the hearts of those he loved.
