Gail Deborah Nickerson, 75, recently of Buena Vista, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024.

Born Nov. 20, 1948, in Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Albert Henry Nickerson Jr. and Wilma May Cole Nickerson.

She is survived by her sister Leyla Nickerson of Massachusetts, and brother Brad Nickerson of Asheville, N.C., along with several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.  

She was predeceased by brother Jim Nickerson and sister Wilma Hayashi .

Please join us this Sunday, Oct. 27, at 5:30 p.m. at the Good ShepherdEvangelical LutheranChurch, 617 S. Main St., Lexington, as we come together to honor Gail’s life and share our memories.

Gail will be remembered for her tough independence, courage and determination.

She fell in love with the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley and moved here from New Hampshire five years ago with her beloved horse Abe. Gail loved the beauty of the mountains. But her heart always longed for the seashore of Cape Cod where she was born.
