AUDREY ARMENTROUT
Born April 25, 1930, in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late James Randolph Pruett and Matrice Hawkins Pruett.
Also preceding her in death are her husband, Lee H. Armentrout; sons, Charles Armentrout and James Armentrout; granddaughter Ronda Armentrout; and great-granddaughter Avery Ann Tackett.
She lived her entire life serving her Lord and Savior. She was a faithful member of High Bridge Presbyterian Church where she was an honorary life member of the Presbyterian Women, Sunday school teacher, youth leader, choir member and chairman of the church women’s search committee at the age of 93.
Surviving are daughters Violet Vest (Sam), Carol Tolley (David), Connie Powell (Roy); special daughter-in-law, Alicia Armentrout; special adopted daughters, Linda Wood and Becky Hannah; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 23, at High Bridge Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Steven Willis. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
