RUBYHAMMER

Born Oct. 17, 1939, in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Walker A. Bayne and Virginia Forbes Bayne.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bob Hammer, and brother, Norman Bayne.

Surviving are her son, Dennis James Beverly and wife, Kimberly, and daughter, Joyce Beverly Olson and husband, Mark; sister, Polly Campbell; three grandchildren, Christina Nicole Phelps, Brooke Beverly Stinnett and husband, Todd, and Courtney Olson Doran and husband, Tommy; and six great-grandchildren, Emma Renee Stinnett, Kayley Crews, Makenize Kelley, Nolan Morse, Noah Doran and Leah Doran.

A funeral was conducted Monday, Oct. 21, at the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Adam Williams and Pastor W. David Bain officiating. Burial followed at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Ruby’s name to Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church.
