JAMES “PUNK” SMITH JR.
He preceded in death by his parents, James Elzy Smith Sr. and Barbara Ann Slough Smith.
He was a proud Marine in the Vietnam War.
He worked for the city of Lexington for 26 years as a mechanic. Working on vehicles was his life. He will be missed by many people whose life he touched.
“Punk” is survived by his wife, Patsy Hayslett Smith, the love of his life of 48 years. He is also survived by his children, Sherry Smith Entsminger and Patrick, Shelley Smith Hall and Jamie; five grandchildren, Brooke Entsminger and Dylan Varner, Hailey and Blake Earhart, Shannon Entsminger, Zachary Hall and Chelsey Hall; one great-grandson, Jack Varner. Surviving him also is a sister Janet Moore of Buena Vista; a brother-in-law, Bob Hayslett of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.
Bolling, Gross and Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation is handling the arrangements. It will be a private ceremony. NG
