DOLLY HAGER
She was born on Oct. 10, 1934, in Appomattox and grew up in Glasgow. She was the daughter of Walter and Nellie Wright, and Samuel W. Arthur and Rebecca Connor Arthur.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Donald Wayne Hager; her parents; sisters Nancy Wright, Frances and her husband Art Shroeder, and Betty Hudson; brothers George E. “Eddie” Arthur and his wife Carolyn, Jack Arthur, Dickie Wright and Ashby Wright; brothers-in-law Joseph “Joe Pete” McElroy, Allen Day “A.D.” Hager and Dewey Hager.
Surviving are her daughters Melinda and husband Gregory Testerman, and Karen and her husband Randolph Worstell; and her grandchildren Daniel, Rebecca, Michael and his wife Katie, Samuel, Jennifer and her husband Dave. Dolly’s greatgrandchildren are Anthony, Roland, Leland, Cameron, Zoey, Madelyn, and Trevor. Also surviving are her brother James and wife Joyce Arthur; sister Shirley McElroy; sisters-in-law Gay Arthur, Peggy Hager and Debbie Hager; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
She dedicated her life to the service of the Lord and that was apparent in everything she did. Dolly strived to achieve perfection in all of her works, disciplined hours of practice on the organ for church, as well as the piano. She was an amazing seamstress. Dolly was famous for her carrot cake and chocolate cake.
Per her wishes, Dolly has been cremated. Interment was on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Princeton, W.Va.
