Shelvia Gene Montgomery, 85, of Buena Vista, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024. 

Born Dec. 23, 1938, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Dave and Yettie Austin Moore.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Montgomery.

Surviving are her son, Earl “Boodle” Montgomery and daughter, Rebecca Painter, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at First BrethrenChurch by the Rev. Michael Hamilton.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
