HELEN TALBOTT

HELEN TALBOTT

Helen B. Talbott of Glasgow, born Sept. 14, 1936, passed into the direct presence of Jesus Feb. 9, 2023.

Helen lived the Life of Love. The seeds she sowed yielded vast crops! Even though she knew this life was just a passage, she did it very graciously. She is once again united with her husband Bill and all others who have passed; parents Vernon and Arcie Bolding; children Jim and Kaye; grandson Steve; brothers, J.T. and George; and many relatives in the Bolding, Honacker, Neese and Archer families.

Surviving are one sister, Ruby Thorpe; sons, Vernon, Greg and Bill; daughters, Rickie, Jenine and Betsey; grandchildren, Brooke and Kevin, Amanda, Alicia, Blaire and Will, Barrett and Chelsey, Parks and Kathleen, Dylan and Taylor, and Mary Catherine; great-grandchildren, Max, Hanah, Kera, Elliot, Logan and River; nieces Tammy, Regina, Robyn, Tonya, as well as others; nephews Robert, Rudy, Tony, Gary, as well as others; adopted daughters, Tania and Lisa. With the aid of Tania’s care, Helen went very peacefully; thank God.

Helen was active her entire life. From a coal miner’s daughter to a young mother of four children by 24! The never-ending passion for life touched every person she was around. Her faith in Jesus never wavered, even when she lost her father at 14! She excelled and established the benchmark for motherhood, first, then being a virtuous wife. Helen became a brilliant accountant, bookkeeper, as well as so much more, it can’t be listed. Helen’s love of sports was ignited when she met Bill Talbott, her prince. They loved VMI and everything Keydet! Bill and Helen traveled everywhere the teams went.

So it lieu of flowers, please support many of her favorite charities, which are too many to list. However, you could send donations to: William P. and Helen Talbott Sr. 50B Athletic Scholarship, P.O. Box 932, Lexington, VA 24450.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Lexington Pentecostal Holiness Church, 408 Houston St.

The family will be receiving friends at Helen’s home after the service. N-G
