Stella Lucille Nicely, 103, of Lexington, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024. 

Born Jan. 6, 1921, she was a daughter of Elmer Armstrong and Lena Higgins Armstrong.

Also preceding her in death were her husband, James Kenton Nicely; and siblings, Sadie Bane, Elizabeth Daniel, Florance Pettrick, Carl Armstrong, Dorothy Miller and Earl Armstrong.

She was a member of the Lauderdale A.R. Presbyterian Church. 

Surviving are her son, David Nicely; grandson, Todd Nicely; and sister, Ethel Hall.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 25, at Rockbridge MemorialGardens by the Rev. Benjamin Dowling.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Lauderdale A.R.P. Church, 300 S. Main St., Lexington, VA 24450.
