Wayne Lee Chittum, 70 of Buena Vista died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024, at Carilion RockbridgeCommunity Hospital.

Born Aug. 28, 1954, in Lexington, he was a son of Grover Lee Chittum Jr. and Naomi Daisy Hall Chittum.

Preceding him in death was his stepmother, Marian Chittum.

He served his country in the 101st Airborne, stationed behind the Berlin Wall. He was also a truck driver for Charles W. Barger & Son.

Surviving are his wife, Cynthia K. Chittum; and siblings, Donnie Stublefied, Brenda Rhodenizer, Allen J. Chittum, Robin Gayle, Vickie Stanley and Gary Lynn.

No services will be held at this time.
