MILDRED TAYLOR

It is with deep sadness we share the passing of Mildred Lee Taylor of Buena Vista on Jan. 4, 2025. She was born on April 29, 1938, to the late Rev. Talmadge S. and Viola Cash Taylor.

Mildred was also predeceased by her sister, Geraldine Taylor Clark.

Mildred was the long-term employee of S. Adrian Whiteside LTD until she acquired ownership. She was a life-long member of the First Brethren Church, having served faithfully as church treasurer for over 30 years.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Phillip Dale Taylor (Devin E. Nicely); niece, Melissa Taylor; nephews, Matt Taylor, Devin Nicely (Lacey), Robert Nicely, and Patrick Nicely (Kaytlyn); 10 great and 10 great-great-nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Billy D. Clark. Also surviving are her special friends, Ronald and Shirley Lynn, Missy Staton, and Nicole Wheeler.

Per Mildred’s final edict, there will not be a visitation or a service. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery.

The family offers their heartfelt thanks to Rockbridge Carilion, Henrico’s Doctors Hospital, Shenandoah Valley Health and Rehab, and Connections Plus Hospice.

Memorial contributions may be made to Connections Plus Hospice or the Gideons.
