Shane Tyson Lawhorn, 43, of Buena Vista, passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025. Born Dec. 11, 1981, in Lexington, he was a son of the late Richard “Richie” Elmer Lawhorn and Pamela Staton Lawhorn. Surviving are his children, Amber Chittum, Persephane Smals (Daniel), Shane T. Lawhorn Jr. (Maegan), and Devin Lawhorn; and his brother, Craig Ryan Lawhorn (Brooke). A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the First Brethren Church by the Rev. Michael Hamilton. Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
