The Rev. Walter Lewis Wilson, 83, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025. 

He was born June 1, 1941, in Lynchburg, the son of the late Eugene Thomas Wilson and Vennie Elma Adkins Wilson.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hughes Wilson, and daughter, Becky Saunders.

The Rev. Wilson pastored Lighthouse Church of God in Cornwall for 20 years and was a bus driver for Rockbridge County Schools for 35 years.

Surviving are his children, his many grandchildren, and his brother.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Jay Thorne. Burial will follow at Rockbridge MemorialGardens. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
