TOMMY FLOYD Edmond Thomas “Tommy” Floyd, 83, of Buena Vista passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025. He was born May 7, 1938, in Rockbridge County the son of the late Robert Hamilton and Julia Floyd. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Rachel Lilly Floyd, and one great-grandchild. Surviving are his children, Michael D. Floyd (Brenda), Darren L. Floyd and Stephanie F. O’Neal (Mark); nine grandchildren, Bruce Worth, Ethan Floyd, Mark O’Neal Jr., Matt O’Neal, Jeffrey O’Neal, Nathan O’Neal, Lydia Floyd, Grant Floyd AND Brayden Floyd; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Alice Dorey, Brenda Pooley, Carl Moore, Lynn and Dewey Tyree. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Dean King. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Home. Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
