ILABUCHANAN

Born Sept. 21, 1940, in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of Charles R. Carter and Mary Virginia Crawford Carter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Franklin Buchanan Jr.

Surviving are her husband, Frank Buchanan; children, Pam Runkle (Kenneth), Dana Weeks, and Michael Buchanan (Angie); six grandchildren, Adam Runkle (Faun), Jacob Runkle, Brandon Weeks (Tracy), Megan Manning (Chris), Regan Buchanan and Devin Buchanan; six greatgrandchildren; and two sisters, Jane Greene and Joyce Williams (Russell).

A memorial service will be conducted at noon Saturday, Feb. 1, at Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Adam Williams. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
