Ronald Lyman Madison, 83, of Roanoke passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, after a brief illness.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Jasper Lyman Madison and Frances Kidd Madison, and his brother, Gregory Robin Madison.

He was a career truck driver and a friend to all. 

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Grim Madison; two children, Stephanie Coffey (Carlyle) of Lexington, and Timothy Madison (Janet) of Mechanicsville. He is also survived by four grandchildren, James Coffey (Tonya), Amanda Henry (Wayne), Joshua Madison (Erin), and Courtney Madison (Dan); and six great-grandchildren, Addi, Sara, Eric, Hallie, Georgia and M.J.; as well as a brother, Tom Madison (June), and many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. 

The funeral was conducted at Simpsons Funeral Home in Roanoke on Tuesday, Feb. 4, with interment following in the High Bridge Presbyterian Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ronnie’s memory may be made to High Bridge Presbyterian Church, 67 High Bridge Church Road, NaturalBridge, or MelroseBaptist Church, Roanoke.
