Timothy Virgil Cochran, 57, of Lexington died Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 10, 1967, he was a son of William Stephen Cochran and Margaret Huneycutt Cochran.

Timothy graduated from Wake Christian Academy (1985), then continued his studies and earned his bachelor's from UNC Pembroke (2001) and master's in executive leadership at Gardner Webb (2015). He started at Alleghany High School as assistant principal in 2023.

Timothy loved Bojangles sweet tea, Carolina BBQ, Rush Limbaugh, Trump, bluegrass and Christian music, funny socks, Jack Hibbs, Wild Cherry Pepsi and his heritage. He enjoyed landscaping, watching college football, grilling chicken on the grill and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, also surviving are his spouse, Tracy Lee Cochran; children, Molly Cochran and Piper Cochran; brothers, Daniel S. Cochran (Aimee), and W. Stacey Cochran (Susan); sister-in-law, Terri Burkett (Todd); brother-in-law, Todd Mahon (Janet); sister-in-law, Tiffany Passalacqua (John); mother and father-in-law,  Linda and Eric Mahon; 11 nieces and nephews and one great-nephew.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Lexington Baptist Church by Pastor Bryan Morrell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
