MATTIE HOLLAND

Born on Jan. 18, 1942, to Levi and Lola Hamilton, Mattie was the last surviving of 10 siblings. She lived a life filled with love, kindness, and a deep dedication to family and community. She found great joy spending time with family and friends at Smith Mountain Lake, and she had a compassionate heart, caring for elderly neighbors and volunteering with the Salvation Army.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Weinerth (Greg) and Sue Coffey; grandchildren, Hollie Martin (Terry), Gregory Weinerth (Ashley Hogan), Jasmine Lawhorne and Robey Coffey (Stephanie Lawhorn); and great-grandchildren, Jayce Tolley, Tyler Martin, Colton Weinerth, Jaedyn Tolley, Jordyn Tolley, Chelsee Hogan and Ryker Coffey. She also leaves behind two special nieces, Jackie Sandidge and Cindy Gilbert, along with many other cherished relatives and dear friends.
Mattieās warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and community will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
A service to honor her life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her memory be made to ConnectionsPlus Healthcare + Hospice.
