DOROTHY BECKERT

Dorothy Ida Beckert, 91, of Lexington passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025. 

Born Aug. 10, 1933, she was a daughter of Frank Chambers and Ida Puskar Chambers.

She was raised in Cleveland, Ohio, where she met her first husband, Carl A. Beckert. 

In addition to her parents and first husband, Dorothy was also predeceased by her second husband, Warren D. Miller. They partnered with BeckMill Research of Lexington. 

She was a devoted member of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Lexington and enjoyed volunteering with Hospice also in Lexington.

During her lifetime, Dorothy made her home in Chicago, Ill., Cleveland, Ohio, Philadelphia, Pa., and Tulsa, Okla., making a positive impact on every location.

Surviving are her two children, Paul G. Beckert and wife Jane of Charlottesville and James A. Beckert and wife Marla of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren, Jeramiah and Carl Beckert of Oregon; brother Frank Chambers of San Francisco, Calif.; and dear friend, Mary Slaughter of Natural Bridge, whom she thought of like a sister.

Dorothy and her timeless spirit will be missed but never forgotten.
