On the 6th of April, 2025, Emmett Andrew Campbell of Rockbridge Baths - beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother - ran peacefully into the open arms of Jesus with his loving family by his side.

Born on Feb. 14, 1948, Emmett was the best husband and daddy; loving, nurturing and willing to give the shirt off of his back. He always loved being with his family and fiddling around in his workshop. If you couldn’t find him, he was more than likely cutting up a load of wood somewhere or working on Jerry’s turkey farm. He was a man of strong faith; Everyone who came in contact with him never left without knowing about Jesus. He was a faithful loving member of Joyful Sound Church in Augusta Springs. 

He is survived by his wife Cathey of 57 years, who will miss him dearly; daughter Marie Yeary (Jason);  granddaughter, Krista McDaniel (Zach);  grandson Bryce Yeary; three sisters, Gloria Spradlin (Johnny), Sue Patterson and Francis Campbell; two brothers, Homer Campbell and Glenn Campbell; many nieces and nephews; his faithful dog Ziggy and grand pup Skye.  

In addition to his parents, Elmer Emmett Campbell and Georgie Virginia Ryder Campbell, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Campbell and Elmer “Casper” Campbell; and a sister, Nelonia “Nelomie” Campbell. 

Family night is Monday, April 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral will be held on Tuesday April 15, at 2 p.m. at Harrison’s Funeral Home to honor and celebrate his life.
