He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Southers; father, Talmadge Southers; sisters, Edna Sorrells and Betty Southers; brother, Edward Southers Sr.; and granddaughter, Krysta Marie O’Bryant.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kathy Marie Southers; two brothers, William Southers Sr. and Roger Southers and wife Patricia; one sister, Elvie Flowers; daughters, Michele Shafer and Melissa Southers and boyfriend Michael Southers; one son, Randy Alan Southers Jr. and wife Savannah Southers; grandchildren, Ashley Shafer, Tiffany Shafer, Everett Southers, Connetta Southers and Randy Alan Southers III; one great-grandson, Daxton Kirschner; and lots of nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at this time due to his wishes. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
