LOREEN FAUBER
Loreen was born on March 5, 1924, to Volney W. and Daisy Hays Snead in Pkin, a small area in Augusta County.
In 1943, she graduated from Valley High School in Spottswood. She was a gifted seamstress and had worked at the Coat Factory (Genesco) in Verona, Jane Colby and Premier i n Fairfield. S he was a member of Fairfield United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Fauber Sorrells (Kenneth) of Fairfield; son, George Franklin Fauber (Cyndi) of Buena Vista; grandchildren, Adam Sorrells (Abigail), Amy Sorrells, Brandon Conner and Lacey Conner; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Elijah, Ella, Emma, Iris, Walker, and Morgan; sister, Gladys Snead Bowles; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert and Basil Snead; and sisters, Elizabeth Poe, Dare Coulter, Irma Sorrels, and Mary Snead.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, March 22, at Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Steeles Tavern, with Pastor Nona Allen officiating. Pallbears will be Adam Sorrells, Buddy Engleman, Zane Cyzick, Herman Snyder, Jean Clements and Terry Miller.
Following the service, family and friends are invited to celebrate Loreen’s life with a meal and fellowship at the Fairfield United Methodist Church social hall, 5622 N. Lee Highway, Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairfield United Methodist Church, 10 Sweet Magnolia Lane, Fairfield, VA 24435.

FLORENCE REYNOLDS Florence Ramsey Reynolds, 86, of Natural Bridge Station died Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
Born July 24, 1936 in Nelson County, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd Samuel Ramsey and Annie Alma Layton Ramsey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Elwood Reynolds.
Mrs. Reynolds was a member of Natural Bridge Christian Fellowship Church. She was a faithful member in the church, choir, Sunday school teacher and Women’s Ministry.
Surviving are her children, Lee Elwood Reynolds II, Jeffrey Wayne Reynolds, and Delores Reynolds Crider; siblings, Tom Ramsey, Sammy Ramsey and Pat West; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was conducted Monday, March 20, by the Rev. Wes Galford at Glasgow Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
