George Oliver Hazelwood Jr., 78, of Buena Vista, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

Born July 31, 1944 in Norfolk, he was a son of the late George Oliver Hazelwood Sr. and Rosalee Carter Hazelwood.

George retired after many years of service as the Head Custodian at Parry McCluer Middle School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Hazelwood, William Lacy “Dick” Hazelwood and Paul David Hazelwood.

Surviving are his wife, Lois Hazlewood; children, Lisa Hazelwood, Jan Rogers (Freddie), and Kevin Hazelwood; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Harrison and Patricia Hazelwood; sister-in-law, Edna Hazelwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no service at this time.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista.
