RAY PROFITT
Born in Kentucky, he was a son of the late John Profitt and Lillian Hall Profitt.
Surviving Mr. Profitt are his wife, Mary C. Profitt; daughters, Maria Profitt, Lisa Profitt, Lisa Holloway, Dorothy Scott and Donna Shepherd; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Ray retired as a pipefitter for United Sprinkler Corp. He was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1499, and a member of the American Legion Post 126, where he served as a captain and a member of the Honor Guard for many years. He also taught Bible classes at many churches and attended the Men’s Bible Study every week until his death.
He was an avid hunter and loved to garden. Ray never met a stranger and loved conversation with old folks and young alike.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 7, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. David Bane.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery.
