Born Aug. 4, 1961, in Lexington, she wasa daughter of Eleanor Manspile Swartz and the late Harry Alexander Swartz Jr.

Dawn was a member of Glasgow Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Darrell E. Fitzgerald; son, Justin Fitzgerald (Pepper Hanna); daughter, Ashley Fitzgerald Vranich (Leo); grandchildren, John Edward Fitzgerald, Niles Berlin Fitzgerald, Amelia Dawn Vranich, Stephen Alexander Vranich and Eli Jackson Vranich; and brothers Timothy Swartz (Donna), Jeffrey Swartz (Jane) and Frederick Swartz (Kelly).

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens by Travis Bowman.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Harrison Funeral Home.
