DORSEY “BUGGIE” DILL JR.
He was born Dec. 15, 1960, in Staunton, the son of Naomi Minter Dill and Dorsey G. Dill Sr.
Buggie was formerly employed as a heavy equipment operator and construction worker.
He was a member of the Buffalo Trail Riders Club which hosted fall wagon trains and rode in the 1976 Bicentennial Wagon Train to Valley Forge. He loved decorating for Christmas, driving fast cars, deer hunting, and was a former member and special friend of Lebanon Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his mother, Buggie is survived by his sister, Pam Campbell and husband Junior of Goshen; adopted sisters, Ann Martin and Yvonne “Missy” Lockridge; very special cousin, Donna Walton; numerous nieces and nephews; many pets; and a special pet, Maxie.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tom and Lina Minter; paternal grandparents, Garnett and Jessie Dill; and a brother-inlaw, Ronnie Karr.
The funeral was conducted Monday, Oct. 2, at Lebanon Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Linwood Wilks. Interment was in Lebanon Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kevin Walton, Cy Walker, David Gutshall, Waylon Gutshall, Robbie Gordon, Donald Minter, Junior Campbell and Phillip Byram.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Augusta County SPCA.
