Born Sept. 2, 1943, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Marian and Harry Morath of Niagara Falls. She was married to Thomas Rogers, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura Fickinger and her husband, Jon, of Burlington, Ky., and two grandchildren, Kate and Andrew, who she lovingly referred to as her “Grand twins.” She is also survived by her brother, Mark Morath and his wife, Minda, of State College, Pa., and their children, Tricia DeSantis (James), Traci Potter (Michael), Jamie Heynes (Josh), Mark Morath II (Erin), and Megan Lorber (Zachary).
Judy graduated from Alfred State College and SUNY University of Buffalo in biochemistry. Her career was multifaceted, beginning as a biochemist, then as an advertising and promotion manager, and then flourished as a book and research publication editor at Mariner Media in Buena Vista.
Judy loved keeping up to date on her grand twins’ interests, Penn State football, and traveling with her sisterin- law, the late Jean Oxley. Judy grew up enjoying Rushford Lake, N.Y., where she was an avid water skier and boating enthusiast.
Judy will be remembered for her love of her dogs, golfing, her cooking and artistic skills, and all things creative.
