NATHANIEL TIMMONS
NATHANIEL TIMMONS
Born July 31, 1929, in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Hancil A. and Mabel (Holsinger) Timmons.
Prior to retirement, Nathaniel was employed by Fruit Growers Express Company where he worked as a senior accountant for 40 years. Nathaniel was a U.S. Army veteran, having served his country honorably during the Korean War while stationed in Guam and having risen to the rank of sergeant. He greatly enjoyed fishing in the Chesapeake Bay for 60 years. He will be remembered for always taking care of his family and his love of Charlestown and horse racing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katie (Shelton) Timmons.
Survivors include his two daughters, Reta Pearson (Tim) of Bealton and Judy Weeks (Larry) of Rockbridge Baths; four grandchildren, Chris (Kelly), Tracie (Ruffles), Katie (Ricky), and Amanda (Eric); and five great-grandchildren.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at Culpeper National Cemetery with a date and time to be announced in the spring of 2024.
