A devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Loren LeRoy Abbe; son Randall Douglas Abbe; brother Henry Paul Rieck; and parents Paul and Annie (neƩ Rae) Rieck.

She is survived by daughter Monica Lynne Fogelberg of Lexington; son Bradley John Abbe (Corina Abbe) of Roberts, Mont.; daughter-inlaw Marijean MacDowell of Dix Hills, N.Y.; grandchildren Sara Nicole Pepper (Jay Pepper) of Winter Garden, Fla., Ryan John Fogelberg (Jia Fogelberg) of Kenmore, Wash.; Wyatt Randall Abbe of Colstrip, Mont.; greatgranddaughter Chloe Kim Fogelberg of Kenmore, Wash.; and sister-in-law Ileen Rieck of Waseca, Minn.; plus many nieces and nephews of Minnesota, Alaska, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Raised on a dairy farm in southern Minnesota and educated in Minneapolis as a medical assistant, with the arrival of children after her marriage Lillian chose to be a stay-at-home mother. Later she worked many years as a medical assistant in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.

Lillian lived numerous places as Loren’s work took them to several states as well as overseas. Later retiring to Lexington, their spirit of adventure and love of travel led them to numerous places around the globe, while their hearts for volunteerism led Loren and Lil to serve their community in many capacities. Lillian devoted over 20 years of service to Hospice and was an active member of Philanthropic Educational Organization International (P.E.O.). Much volunteer time was also devoted to Grace Presbyterian Church in the area of hospitality.
