CARL KNICK
CARL KNICK
Born Nov. 13, 1927, in Rockbridge County, he was a son of John Bolivar Knick and Ottie Higgins Knick.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Kidd Ruley Knick, and a son, Daniel Wayne Knick, as well as seven siblings, Estelle, Dorothy, Evelyn, Marjorie, Christine, Samuel and Elmer.
Carl retired from Burlington Industries as a weaver and owned Knick’s Home Improvement.
Surviving are a son, Robert “Beau” Knick; two grandchildren, Serena K. Boykin and Daniel W. Knick Jr.; 12 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Pat Magee, Marie Canady, John Henry Knick and Richard Knick.
Carl was a dedicated member of Ebenezer A.R. Presbyterian Church, joining in 1948 and had been a member ever since.
A funeral was conducted Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Bill Harrison. Burial followed at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements were by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory. N-G
