The New Monmouth Presbyterian Church Praise Choir, made up of children and adults, will present the musical “Once Upon a Parable” on Sunday, March 9, during the 11 a.m. service.
Bible study continues on Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. We will wrap up Matthew 8. After Bible study, all elementary-aged children are invited to come decorate Valentine’s Day cookies with the pastors at 6:15 p.m. We will also work on coloring some art to send to Noah, a young patient at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and friend of Lily’s.
Lunch Bunch will meet Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 12:30 at Golden Garden. The next dates are March 11, April 8, May 13 and June 3 (locations to be determined).
Game night will be held on Friday, Feb. 14, at 5:30 pm. We will be spending Valentine’s Day sharing laughter and games with friends. All ages are welcome! There will be pizza for dinner.
The annual pancake dinner will be on Tuesday, March 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. The dinner is free but donations will be accepted for a local ministry (to be determined).
New Monmouth held a congregational meeting following the worship service on Sunday. Trustee Laura Hotinger was re-elected to another term. The 2025 budget was discussed and approved. This year, there will be some higher property expenses as some church building maintenance will require extra expenditures. The roof is in need of repainting. Tim Welsh will provide a multi-year plan for some of the projects that the property committee has discussed.
