High Bridge Presbyterian Church celebrated “Souper Bowl” Sunday after the service with about a dozen excellent soups and sides and desserts. This coming Sunday, the “noisy can” offering will be received.

Congratulations to Daniel and Hanna Gilbert on the birth of their son, Henry Robert, on Jan. 27 in Denver, Colo. Proud grandparents are Bob and Kathy Gilbert.

The afternoon circle meets Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. at the church fellowship hall. The evening circle met on Tuesday with Garnette Teas.

The Presbyterian Women’s slate of officers for 2025 are as follows: Faye Worley, moderator; Esther Pennington, vice moderator; Kathy Gilbert, treasurer; Gayle Tolley, secretary; Betsy Shepard, mission coordinator; Leigh Ann McCoy, search coordinator; Garnett Teas and Connie Powell, members-at-large; and Gayle Tolley, historian.

The Weekday Religious Education board met last month at Beth Horon United Methodist Church and made plans for spring graduation.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Linda Grim Madison whose husband, Ronnie Madison, passed away Jan. 30.

The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry board met Monday, and the officers elected to serve for 2025 were Dave Van Osten, president; Clarence Martin, vice president; Esther Pennington, secretary; Marjorie Austin, correspondence secretary; Gayle Tolley. financial secretary; Doris Hedrick, treasurer; and Wayne Lee Hickman and Jane Shafer, operations managers.

The food pantry will open promptly at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, and close at 11 a.m. The High Bridge congregation is collecting canned soup for the food pantry during the month of February.
