Kyle Ray Hartless Jr., 76, of Buena Vista, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2025. 

He was born Dec.21, 1948, in Rockbridge County, the son of the late Kyle Ray Hartless Sr. and Gertrude Deacon Hartless.

Mr. Hartless served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He later worked for Buena Vista Public Works, where he retired. Kyle also became a member of the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church in 1976.

Besides his parents, his brother Gary Alan Hartless preceded him in death.

Surviving are his two daughters, Veronica Hopkins (Karl) and Ursula Victoria Hartless; brother, Timmy Hartless (Hilda); and sister, Linda Hartless Wright (Sam).

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church by Pastor Adam Williams. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. 

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at the church.
