FY 2024 Proposed Budget, Capital Improvement Plan, Agency Funding Requests Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. during its regular meeting, held in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, to solicit input on the Proposed FY 2024 budget, the Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) for the period FY 2024-2028, and FY 2024 agency funding requests. City Council will take comments offered at the hearing into account. Citizens are strongly encouraged to submit public comment in writing to the following email address: jhostetter@lexingtonva. gov, by US Mail to City Manager’s Office, 300 East Washington Street, Lexington VA, 24450, or by leaving it in the City’s drop box at the rear of the building (facing the parking lot) and addressed to the City Manager’s Office. Comments will be distributed to City Council and entered into the minutes as public record. Copies of the proposed budget documents under consideration are on the City’s Finance page of the website.

Warner spoke of the importance of the pump station for the Rockbridge community and highlighted that it was one of several long-term projects that the MSA is working on to improve access to water for MSA customers. Warner and Sen. Tim Kaine secured a $3 million grant for Rockbridge County to be put toward the cost of the project in the Senate appropriations bill for the 2023-24 fiscal year.
