Baseball Academy Supporters Thanked

Local author Peter Farnham will talk about his new book, “West Heads Home,” on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Rockbridge Regional Library in Lexington Farnham will discuss issues based on themes in the book, such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and survivor’s guilt. He’ll take questions and do book signings.

Carolyn Bradley, 540-258-2720 We were saddened to hear of the death this week of a former town employee, Jimmy Emore. He had been retired for a number of years, and was in declining health. His wife, Betty, had a bad fall recently and is in a nursing home for rehab. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and the family during this time.

The First Baptist Church in Lexington will have its annual Pre-Thanksgiving Day Worship Service on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 6 p.m. with Pastor McKinley Williams preaching.
