The South River District Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department’s 69th annual carnival took place on the carnival grounds in Fairfield last week. On Saturday night, Dorsey Hostetter and the Tri Country Band performed (top left). This year there were no midway rides, but children could play in several inflatable bounce houses (top right). Games of skill were popular at the carnival, including the goldfish bowl toss (at far left). Food was available each night, including the company’s barbecue chicken.
