Led by physical education teachers Stuart Brown and Jackie Gay-Milliken, teachers and students of Central Elementary School broke a sweat last Friday with a 1980s-themed P.E. activity. As the finale of the school’s weeklong fitness initiative, “March into Fitness,” students were asked to dress in their best ‘80s gear to follow along to a jazzercise video. Two Fairfield Elementary School Destination Imagination teams competed in the 2023 Virginia Tournament in Mechanicsville on March 18, bringing home two awards. Team “The 5 Kute Kumbbers” (above) competed in the Scientific Challenged-Far Fetched and placed second in the competition.
