A labyrinth presentation and community labyrinth walk will be taking place Sunday, Aug. 6, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church.

Community Bible Study is currently enrolling for the upcoming class year. This year participants will have the option of the traditional co-ed Wednesday morning class or a Thursday evening women’s class.

Three-Peat Winners

The Campus Kitchen at Washington and Lee University has received $2,700 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation. This grant, designed to help feed neighbors in need, will support the ongoing efforts of the Campus Kitchen Backpack Program to assist families in Rockbridge County.

The South River District Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department’s 69th annual carnival took place on the carnival grounds in Fairfield last week. A very special silver anniversary is taking place this Friday and Saturday, July 28 and 29, at Glen Maury Park – the 25th Bank of Botetourt Beach Music Festival.

Artists in Cahoots will feature the meditative, sumi-e brush paintings of former gallery member Virginia Lloyd-Davis as she demonstrates her painting technique on Friday, Aug. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m.
