Forfeiture Hearing Today In District Court

Stephen Shank has been appointed to be the new CEO of the Virginia Horse Center Foundation early next year. He will officially take the reins of the horse center March 26, succeeding Glenn Petty, who has held the post since May of 2021.

Janice Cleo Hudson Lavender, 82, of Buena Vista, went home on Dec. 17, 2023, after a long illness. Born Oct. 30, 1941, in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late Woodville and Gladys Hudson.

Edith “Edie” (Wagner) Humphries was born on June 4, 1956, to Frances and Robert “Bobby” Wagner in Buena Vista. She passed away on Dec. 17, 2023, after suffering a long illness.

Jose Luis Aguilar Lopez, 64, of Fairfield, died on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023.

Randall Lynn Ruley, 55, of Lexington died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at Lewis Gale Medical Center.
