Jaydyn Clemmer, a 2021 Rockbridge County High School graduate who is a junior libero for the James Madison University volleyball team, recorded her 1,000th career dig and was named to the Sun Belt Conference all-tournament team after JMU’s 3-1 loss to Coastal Carolina in the finals on Sunday evening in Foley, Ala.
The Parry McCluer High School basketball season is scheduled to start on Monday, with a varsity doubleheader at home against Altavista. The girls will play at 5:30 p.m., and the boys’ game is scheduled to follow at 7 p.m. Season previews for both teams will be in next Wednesday’s newspaper.
