Beat Blacksburg, Await Lax Rematch With Western Albemarle

Virginia Military Institute’s Club Pistol Team attended the Scholastic Action Shooting Program Intercollegiate Pistol Nationals for the first time. Three cadets, and their coach, Reese McCormick, departed for Oxford, Alabama, to attend nationals on March 14.

Winning all three doubles matches, the Rockbridge County High School girls tennis team earned a 5-4 road win over Lord Botetourt last Wednesday.

RC Boys Pick Up First Lax Victory

Five Parry McCluer High School basketball players – three girls and two boys – were awarded all-region honors last week.

Salem defeated the visiting Rockbridge County High School boys lacrosse team 16-5 in the season opener for both schools on Monday of last week.

Despite playing mostly close matches, the Rockbridge County High School boys tennis team suffered a 9-0 road loss to Staunton in its season opener on Thursday evening.
