The Fairfield High School class of 1959 held its reunion Sept. 8 at Quaker Steak and Lube. Lee Berkstresser welcomed everyone and gave a short talk on members who were absent. A social hour was enjoyed, followed by a meal. A large crowd turned out for the annual Rockbridge, Lexington and Buena Vista Latino Festival at Brewbaker Field in Lexington Sunday. Plein Air Event Returns
Plein Air Event Returns

Lynchburg artist David Eakin will be painting in and around Lexington the first week of October, along with many other local and neighboring painters - all part of the annual “Plein Air” event at Nelson Gallery. All artists are invited to take part with their own “on-site” paintings, rendered between Oct. 2 and Oct. 6. Everyone can see the results during a reception on Oct. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the gallery. The show will remain on display at Nelson Gallery for the month.

Shirley Wood, wife of Charlie Mac Wood, passed away this past week. One month ago deacon and trustee Roger Bradle, also passed on to his Heavenly home.
